Avani has been a part of eWards for nearly 2 years, and apart from being a joyful presence she’s known for the way her effective servicing- although she terms it as doing what she felt was best for the client (Great work motto).
Without further delays, let’s jump into the interview:
First off, the basics- what has Avani’s journey been like?
“One hell of a ride” a prompt response from Avani. But that’s not it, there’s always a story behind every ride. For Avani it started off in the most unexpected way- “After completing my course in digital marketing I was getting bored, staying in my PG during the day as my classes in Xaviers would take place in the evening. I got to know about eWards and finally made my entrance as an intern.” (Take notes- boredom might lead you to do great things)
“In the very beginning I was worried about work, as I had the responsibility of handling my grades and work responsibilities. Due to this I never imagined staying beyond 6 months, but then I fell in love with the company (Not Romeo Juliet but Avani style) and here I am, almost on the verge on completing 2 years. My current profile allows me to shift between LG and Servicing” (although we all know you would prefer servicing).
The fun is just getting started- we move on to the next question — What is your biggest achievement till date? And in came a prompt response, “When Nikunj and Jagriti got proud about the way I carried my responsibilities for client servicing, people started believing in my work and that certainly was a good surprise” (Anyone up for session on Client Servicing?)
Any journey is not always fun, there are also struggles along the way, coming to the struggles that Avani faced since joining “The initial days were a bit difficult mainly because I was not familiar with the product, plus initially there was only Jagriti and me, but the people around were also approachable and helpful. I’ll tell you the most amazing part about my journey- everything happened in phases, that is why I did not face a lot of struggles. I have a good hang of the product too, so that’s one less challenge to worry about.”
Before we dive into favorites, likes and dislikes, let’s get to know about the most featured part about Avani’s journey- The Trio
“The Trio (As the office has termed us) is Shreya, Kanika and Me. We’ve developed a close bond and lookout for each other, when something related to the trio takes place we always make it a point to discuss it. While I have known Shreya for quite sometime (she’s a family friend), I met Kanika in the office. They are the best thing to ever happen to me in the office”
Spoiler Alert: The Trio is on her list of favorites, best and most memorable things (be warned)
What’s your favorite thing about the company?
First, the culture- it is a young team with great energy, the level of openness we have when approaching sir and of course the freedom to explore any field apart from your specialization.
Then there’s the obvious- Kanika and Shreya , the trio (we gave a spoiler alert in advance)
Her best memories-
“First, when Nikunj appreciated my work in the core group. It was surprising but served as a motivation booster”
“Secondly the earlier days, especially the coffee breaks with the team” (and nostalgia sets in)
Any bad memories:
“Just one, when I was trying to go out, but I slipped and fell down. Everyone was staring at me and laughing, so I picked myself up and played along- but it was kind of a bad memory”
Favourite person(s) in the organisation-
“There’s Jagriti who keeps on motivating me and pushes me to improve, and then there’s the usual (you guessed it) Kanika and Shreya”
“And before you ask I don’t think there’s anyone who would fall in my not so favourite list”
“When it comes to making any changes or additions- we need more workspace (new recruits, more space required) and we also need A COFFEE MACHINE, it has been quite some time since our request”
Is there any role that you would want to swap positions with?
“I would like to explore the HR part, I enjoy the part about calling and interviewing” (HR Department take note- we might have our next recruit in-house)
Before we end the interview (it has been a joyride) Avani added a few closing words
“eWards is a happy place to be in, with its ups and downs. You see everyone working together and working hard, that motivates you”
Thank you for a brief look into your wonderful joyride.
